The Chase for the Start

My sister’s post got me thinking, “what the heck was I doing when I was 18?” Well, I was a senior in high school getting ready to go to college. Being a teenager, of course there was a wide range of emotions going on. One that really stood out was my strong desire to move away from my hometown and go to college. Don’t get me wrong, I love my school, friends, family, etc. I had no tragic story worthy of a Lifetime movie. I’ve always been about moving forward, living in new places, and experiencing new things. Never have I been satisfied of where I was. I can understand why some people might see this as pitiful, but it was/is this desire that got me to where I am now. Who knows? One day I might want to stay in one place and settle down, but that day isn’t anytime soon. I get bored too fast. Anyways, eighteen year-old Muriel was excited. No matter how good things were, I was always looking for my next adventure. I guess you can say that the theme song to my transition was

Eighteen

Hey, sorry we haven't posted in a long time, because we had technical problems, but it's all good now. My name is Bernice. I just turned eighteen this year and my life has been a roller coaster ride. Still learning to be independent. I have a long way to go to be an independent and strong woman; I know I can do it. Right now, I'm living my youth and it's been awesome and crappy, but c'mon, that's life. This is why I picked this song first for this music blog. For all the girls who are eighteen or who was eighteen, this song is for you. "18" by Steve Moakler. :)
